The packaging is nice and discreet. While the vibrator is pictured on the box, there are no obnoxious pornstar or over-the-top images. Overall, a pleasing aesthetic. The storage case is a pretty amazing addition. It holds the vibrator and its remote discreetly, and allows wireless charging of the device. It’s the battle of the variants, what has changed between the models? To answer rather simply, not much. The biggest difference between the two models is the way you control them. After it has been turned on, the We-Vibe 4 can be controlled through the included We-Vibe remote. The same works for the We-Vibe 4 Plus as well, although apart from the report, it allows control through the We-vibe app. Available for the iOS as well as Android, the We-Connect app allows control of the vibrator from around the world, provided both parties have good, stable internet connections.

The same line of small differences can also be seen with another model, the We-Vibe Sync. This model is practically the same as We-Vibe 4 Plus, though it includes a little flexibility for the insertable end, making it easier to adjust it at the G-spot.

We-Vibe 4 Plus is covered in silicone. That makes it nice and smooth to touch, and it is phthalate free, non-absorbent, and completely body safe. The thicker end of the We-vibe vibrator is placed over the clitoris, while the thinner and flat side is inserted and goes into the vagina.

There’s also a small design flaw here: once you lube up the vibrator and insert it, you have to push the button to power it on. Pressing the power button on this slippery vibrator can be a bit of a chore. Oh, and remember not to use a silicone-based lube with your silicone sex toys, use a water-based lube for this one.

The biggest feature on the We-Vibe 4 Plus is without a doubt, the We-Vibe Connect App. Available for Android as well as iOS, the app adds a lot of functionality and features to the vibrator. Your phone connects to the vibrator through Bluetooth, and once in touch, quickly transfers control to your phone.

Once connected, the We-Vibe app adds the following features to your vibrator

Separate control for clitoral stimulation and g-spot arms
A possibility to control, manage, and create your own custom vibrations
Audio and video chat, and texting between connected devices with the app
Ability to control the vibrator from anywhere that has internet

As you can guess, the last two points are geared specifically towards a long-distance couple. They present the ability to have a video chat with your partner, while he controls the vibrator from his phone.

To achieve this, you connect your phone to the vibrator via Bluetooth, and then allow the connected app of your boyfriend to take control over the vibrator. Only one phone can keep control over the vibrator at a given time.

If your partner is controlling the vibrator through the app, he can control intensity simply by moving a finger on the screen. A graph on the screen also shows the intensity or wave to signify the pattern, so both phones can see how strong the vibrations are.

While the app is amazing, there is still a bit more to do before it can be properly useful. It’s a lot of frustration to hit buttons, and watch as nothing happens. There are some troubles with the app too, and it may sometimes fail to control, or only manage partial control over the We-Vibe 4 Plus. There also seem to be compatibility issues with some devices.
